The founder of Pink Phoenix Rising is a breast cancer survivor whose personal journey inspired the organization. Although she felt prepared for her bilateral mastectomy, she quickly discovered that clinical preparation was very different from being prepared for recovery at home.
With the support of her oldest daughter, also a breast cancer survivor, and inspired by the strength of her mother, another survivor, she learned firsthand what women truly need during those first critical weeks after surgery—from drain management tools to practical guidance and everyday comforts. That experience revealed a gap in post-operative support and inspired her to create Pink Phoenix Rising, ensuring no woman has to navigate recovery alone.
